Luscombe & Co

Luscombe & Co is a letting agency situated in Newport, Wales. They’re website was in dire need of an update. They also came to me with a unique set of challenges:

  1. They had very high website traffic, but no conversions
  2. They’re content and copy was outdated
  3. They needed to build their database
  4. They needed to get more landlords to list their properties
  5. The site speed was incredibly slow
  6. SEO needed to improve

The new website would have to cater for clients looking for properties to rent, but also for prospects who could potentially list their properties with L&CO.

After extensive research, the following conclusions were made:

  • The more properties (or landlords), a letting agent had, the more renters there were contacting them to view the properties and rent it. Thus it stands to reason that if you have the properties, the renters will come.

So the biggest challenge was to get more landlords.

How could this be done?

  • By crafting the USP, copy and site experience to cater specifically for landlords and drive them to a single action
  • The website would still need to cater for potential tenants – so a property section would have to be created
  • This property section had to slot in with the main Letting Portal called LetMC
  • The web hosting would have to be moved from the USA to the UK in order to improve the site speed
  • Copy would need to be rewritten to optimise for search engines

Sourcing the right imagery, crafting copy optimised for conversion and search engines was the next task.

The result was a newly revamped website with a 700% increase in conversions:
