De La Bat School
De La Bat is a school for the deaf located near Cape Town in South Africa. They had an extremely outdated website. Some of the challenges and requirements were:
- The website had a lot of information that needed to be communicated simply and logically but in a modern and appealing way.
- They needed donations to be made easily
- They needed people to be able to apply to the school easily
- It also needed to be done on a platform where they could access and update certain parts like blogs and photos.
The Process
The first and biggest aspect of this project was to simplify all the information on the current site and to present it in bite-size chunks.
After a lot of research it was established that a simple homepage with all the essential information on would be the best way to retain visitors. The same style would be applied to the other pages on the site to where the more avid readers could navigate.
Throughout the site the main call-to-action was: Donate NOW. It also needed to be fully responsive and visually pleasing and modern.
